August Rush in November

Lori and I have been passing like ships in the night for the past little bit. Some seasons are busier than others, and that is great.

But we did something completely spontaneously today. We called my mom and she was available to watch the kids for a few hours. So we dashed out to catch a movie together.

We saw August Rush.

Sniffle. Sob. Laugh. Love.

What a beautiful holiday film. When it was over I could have just hit rewind and watched it again.

Go see this movie and just dream about what could be in your life.

Day Off

Today is the first Friday (during the day) where Lori and I don't have anything "pressing" that we need to attend to.

Blog Idea...

Many of you know that Lori (my wife) blogs over here. She is an amazing woman whom I deeply respect and admire. Not simply because she is my wife, but because of her character, work ethic, and gifting. And she has a huge beautiful...brain (private practice fans will remember that moment).

Were were chatting yesterday and came up with an idea that I would love your feedback upon. We are thinking of taking a few weeks in February to team up together and take some time talking sex. It will sync up with our Sex Life series launching that month at Lifecentre as well. When we say sex, we mean the whole topic. Singles, couples, homosexuality, etc...

What do you think? Good idea?

Clear & Clogged?

Its a miracle.

Wednesday 3:22pm and I have answered all the email in my Inbox. For this moment in time, I am clear in the email world.

Yet in the talk writing world I am clogged.

It happens from time to time.

I know what I want to say...just not how I want to say it yet.

Oh well, thank God it is only Wednesday :-)

Word...Christmas Series

I am pretty excited about our Christmas Series opening on Sunday - Word.

Too Much Grace?

You just have to read this now!

I am, yet again, in awe of that which is the grace of our Father. To be honest, the other day I was critiqued with speaking about grace a "little too much recently". That's OK - I am a big boy and can handle some push back - in fact, I think its healthy.

But here is my problem, I don't think I have yet scratched the surface on the immensity of the gift of grace.

The beautiful thing, if you need a little judgment to balance it out - you don't have to search very far. Sometimes you don't have to search further than your own thoughts...
