Room for a Poem
This week Leah sent me over a poem that I wanted to share with you. I think its just brilliant. If I had read it before last week's talk, it would have been one of my inspirations for sure.
Room
By Leah Puddester
Leave a little room for me in the darkest hours of your day.
Leave a little room for me when your plans go astray.
Open up your heart a crack when troubles at your door.
Know that when you fall to your knees I am with you on the floor.
Open up your eyes a bit to hear me whispering to you.
Saying how I cherish you, and I will see you through.
Poke your head through the fog, just a little smudge,
And I will appear and tell you I did not come here to judge.
I came here to save you from yourself and from this world.
I am not tallying up your every wrong, no matter what you’ve heard.
I am here patiently waiting for you to let me in.
And all you have to do is call my name for this miracle to begin.
And I will not guarantee a joyride once we work together,
But with this partnership, there is no storm you can’t weather.
I did not come to keep all pain form you.
But I came to grant you the strength to make it through.
So I understand that opening up can be a scary thing.
You wonder what things will come with that, what that decision will bring.
Believe when I say, all good things come from me.
And I will gently open your eyes so you can finally see.
That I have plans to prosper you, and love on you forever.
And I will always be by your side, when things are bad and better.
So my darling, will you leave just a little room for me?
So I can do what I have been longing to- that is to set you FREE!

Leah, I had no idea you wrote so beautifully. Wow.
Love,
Tracy

Good morning,
That was absolutely beautiful. And you are right Pastor Jason, it would have went along perfectly with your sermon on leaving a little room for God. Have an awesome day.
many blessings
